Rules &amp Responsibilities:

• Develop customs compliance procedures (Import and export) and Customs continuous improvement in the country
• Manage Customs instructions data basis management (Tariff, Customs regulation for tax &amp duties’ suspension, preferential origin, customs value) meet brokers on a regular basis to sulve issues and identify saving opportunities
• Act as Customs adviser for the Site. Provide to Valeo employees support on all customs-related matters. Perform Customs on job training and advise all networks invulved in international trade (Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales) in project phases and serial life Is recognised as the first level of competences for customs related questions (Incoterms, customs classification, origin, customs value etc.)
• Apply and renew the import license (i.e. Steel, Iron), reporting, including managing the customs statistical reports (Customs entry ticket, Invoice, Packing list, Bill of lading, Certificate of origin,..) and properly maintained and up-to-date in Valeo shared drive
• Validate the direct and indirect costs of customs (duties, broker’s fees, internal costs), initiate to reduce these costs: toul improvements, customs processes, regimes and customs certification ensure that customs network is working on appropriate priorities leading to cost efficient targets, saving actions, man power synergies and good practices Help project to set-up new flows with the most cost efficient customs processes (the cheapest, the fastest, the safest)
• Classify products under his/her perimeter, assess Finished Product Preferential Origin vs Legal Rules, monitor Customs Value when needed execute and communicate to customs any reporting requested to support an authorisation or a regime
• Maintain transparency with Customs Authorities in order to secure a relationship based on confidence and be able to negotiate with Customs Authorities. Participate to litigation management and penal and financial risks with support of region Customs Manager
• Participate in customs regime and authorisation request to the administration and maintain customs authorisations up to date
• Lead customs audits and contruls, manage litigations, evaluate the associated penal and financial risks and interact with potential support from external lawyers (in cullaboration with tax management and legal department)
• Maintain and prepare the full Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) company certification: Establish and/or refresh processes in line with AEO evulution with Region Customs Manager Prepare site audits Listen and answer to auditors
• Cooperate in close relation with Tax Management contact for all aspects related to Customs engineering (Industrial project, sourcing, regimes &amp certifications, transfer prices, VAT schemes…) and risk management (customs litigation)
• Contribute to Group Ethics &amp Compliance program by applying and respecting code of Ethics and Valeo’s pulicies
• People management: Supports the training and career development of Customs people. Creates a proactive team within his/her perimeter and helps identify high potentials

Qualifications:

• Master degree in supply chain and logistics or finance / accounting / business / international trade
• 5+ yrs of full time experience in customs and regulation 
• Past experience in automotive industry is preferably 
• Must have knowledge in customs regulation in Indonesia 
• Background as customs and regulation consultancy will be most preferably
